Pete Cornelius and Band
Pete Cornelius has been captivating audiences with his exceptional musicianship since he was just 13. A virtuosic guitarist and soulful vocalist, Pete's musical style defies easy categorisation, blending heartfelt Blues, funky grooves, soulful melodies, and Americana nuances. His original songwriting and authentic sound have earned him international acclaim and a multitude of awards, cementing his reputation as one of Australia's premier guitarists.
Leading the charge with his world-class ensemble, the Pete Cornelius Band delivers a performance that is nothing short of spectacular. Alongside Pete, long-time collaborators Beau Thomas (drums & vocals) and Simon Holmes (bass & vocals) bring a dynamic energy and solid grooves to every show, creating an electric atmosphere that resonates with audiences.
In 2024, the Pete Cornelius Band has set the stage for their highly anticipated full album release with two compelling singles. Fans can look forward to the album's debut in December 2024, promising a continued evolution of their distinctive sound and vibrant performances.
Tasmanian Harp and Violin Duo
Tasmanian Harp and Violin Duo have been performing together since 2016, shortly after meeting for the first time at the Westbury St Patrick's Celebration Day on the village Green. They mostly play a range of Traditional Irish, Scottish, Hymns, Classical and popular cover songs for Wedding gigs. They also compose their own original tunes and songs.
Joanne also plays the Flute and Romanian Pan flute. Hamish also plays Guitar, Mandolin, Ukulele and Whistle.
They have played in a number of Venues in Tasmania (mostly Churches for Concerts and Weddings). They have recently played in some art exhibition openings, including The Deloraine Performing art Centre for the Meander Valley art prize in 2024 and the Arrthhouse gallery in Evandale in 2025. They have also performed at a few folk festivals including The Verandah Festival in Evandale, Mt Roland and Cygnet Folk Festival.
